In many respects, the setup is very similar to that of Google Analytics and the Google Tag Manager. For example, Matomo can use the same e-commerce data layers required by the Google Tag Manager for measuring transactions and other interactions, in addition to the data layers specifically created for the Matomo Tag Manager (MTM).
The Advanced package represents an extended integration with additional features. These are marked in orange in the overview below.
