Often there is advertising for the installation of other apps in iOS / iPadOS. In order to measure the conversion (i.e. the installation of the advertised app) there, Apple provides the SKAdNetwork. This is a class that provides the (limited) connection to the ad network in the apps.
The SKAdNetwork (as reported incorrectly in some cases) is not used to measure advertising banners in apps that refer to websites. For this, the Private Click Measurement (PCM) is responsible.
Likewise, the SKAdNetwork does not provide the query banner for user consent for tracking, the App Tracking Transparency Framework (ATT) is responsible for this.
It should also be noted that conversions are included in the reports with a delay of up to three days.
